Friuli Isonzo DOC Sauvignon Blanc Rive Alte Piere 2021 Vie di Romans

Description

The Friuli Isonzo Rive Alte Sauvignon Piere of the Vie di Romans estate originates in the vineyard of the same name, located in the municipality of Mariano del Friuli, in the province of Gorizia.

It is made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc grapes, harvested by hand in the first week of September. After a brief cold maceration, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16-19°C for 18 days. The wine then matures for 8 months on fine lees and a further 10 months in glass, before being marketed.

It presents a straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose opens with intense aromas of pineapple and yellow peach, enriched by delicate hints of citrus, anise and elderflower. The palate is full and savoury, pleasantly balanced and mineral.

Perfect with fish starters, it is ideal with seafood risottos and steamed shellfish.
